Can you spot the picture of unhealthy coral?
What can we do?
Saving coral reefs is hard, but if everyone helps—governments, scientists, and communities—we can protect these beautiful underwater homes for animals and people. These are part of a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
One way that we show that things are important to people is for governments of countries all over the world to recognise it as a human right. We now have a human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment – a CHASE. Human rights are useful ways that people can tell governments what they need to do to protect their human rights.
If we have problems with coral becoming sick because of the environment we can ask the government to work harder to make our oceans clean, healthy and safe.
